Board of Directors

As directors of a provincial not-for-profit advocacy service, the board aims to: define and advance community arts and culture development through arts councils and other community-based organizations; provide member arts councils and agencies with the information, resources, and representation they require.

The Assembly seeks out directors who support these aims and are able to contribute to their fulfillment to the best of their abilities.

The Assembly board is composed of ten regional directors, 4 other directors and an immediate past president. Following each year's annual general meeting the board elects an executive consisting of a president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary. The immediate past president also sits as a member of the executive.

The Assembly board works cooperatively with its staff to further the organization's goals, programs, and queries. The executive director is responsible for the Assembly's day to day operations, and receives direction from the board through the president.
